Having a sore jaw and a sore ear is most unpleasant. There will be pain when you eat, yawn and whenever you open your mouth wide enough. So what's happening and how can we stop it?
Ear and jaw pain are very common symptoms of TMJ. This is because tightness in the jaw can very quickly displace the jaw joint and so affect the ear area aswell. Ear and jaw pain can go away if the pain isn't too bad, but if it's consistent and quite painful you should definitely do something about it.
Your best option would be to start doing TMJ exercises. They will take a few days to start fully working, but the results will be worth it. These exercises are recommended by everyone who is suffering from TMJ and have in many cases saved people from having to risk surgery.
TMJ exercises will help ear and jaw pain by relaxing the jaw and allowing it to settle back into a normal position. This will relieve pressure on the jaw joint area and stop the ear pain aswell.
